The Sleeper Pins band Web site. Indie pop from Minnesota songwriter Tyson Allison and percussionist Justin DeLeon.

The Sleeper Pins formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2003 as a side project to the alt/art rock band Gliss. Tyson Allison (vocals, guitar, and other things) and Justin Deleon (drums, percussion) wanted an outlet for some quieter, acoustic-based songs that leaned on simplicity, atmosphere, and lyrics filled with storytelling and imagery.
Their debut album was recorded and released by the independent label Emperor Penguin Records in September 2003, and many shows followed. The duo then went on hiatus for awhile as Tyson started a family and Justin spent his time with local bands The Quills and Farewell Pluto.
The Sleeper Pins resurfaced in 2006 with a new member in the form of award-winning cello player Aaron Kerr, and began performing live again as part of the successful Emperor Penguin Acoustic Showcase in and around the Twin Cities. In 2007 the group was rounded out by new fourth member Steve Nord, a multi-instrumentalist, and recording sessions began on their follow up album which will be titled "Keep It Coming Like A Miracle" and will be released on Emperor Penguin Records in July 2008.
